Tent Sites

Welcome to Fish Lake Beach! Our tent sites sit right on the lake, giving you a front row seat to everything that makes this place special. From the water to the beach to everything happening around the resort, there’s a lot waiting for you here. We’re really glad you found us.

Fish Lake Beach is in Volo, Illinois, tucked into Lake County about 45 minutes north of Chicago off US Route 12. I-94 is close by, and guests come in from all over the Chicagoland area and southern Wisconsin throughout the season.

Our tent sites happen to be right on the water, which is a nice way to start and end each day. Honor and Glory, our two resident bald eagles, make regular appearances above the lake so keep your eyes peeled! We also have a heated pool and sandy beach as well as kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats available to rent. The kids tend to find the gaga pit and playgrounds pretty quickly, and the basketball and softball areas get plenty of use too. Most evenings, the Pavilion has something happening, whether that’s karaoke, live music, or bingo.

Volo Bog State Natural Area and Moraine Hills State Park are both just down the road for anyone looking to hike or spend time in the local wildlife. The Fox Lake area has great restaurants and shops for day-to-day needs, and Chicago is close enough to pull off a day trip without too much fuss.

Our staff is on site all season and happy to help with whatever comes up. We’re glad you’re here.
