Fish Lake Beach Camping Resort near North Chicago, IL

Fish Lake Beach is a family-owned RV resort and campground just minutes from North Chicago, IL, tucked along the shores of Fish Lake in Volo off US Route 12 in Lake County.

For North Chicago residents, this is the kind of place that feels like it was built for you. Close enough to get here after work on a Friday, far enough away to feel like a real escape. We have four ways to stay: full hookup RV sites, long term RV sites, cabin rentals, and lakefront tent sites, so there's a fit for a quick weekend or a full summer adventure.

The beach and the water are the heart of the property. Spend your mornings fishing off the dock, your afternoons on the sand or out on the lake in a rental kayak, and your evenings at the Pavilion where something is almost always going on. Live music, karaoke, bingo, and community events fill the calendar from opening day through the end of the season.

Fish Lake Beach opens May 1 and runs through October 15. We'd love to have you this season.

I have not yet camped here but i am jumping on to thank Fish Lake Beach! I was supposed to camp this weekend but due to the air quality and my medical condition I needed to switch my weekend. It was short notice and they were completely accommodating. Very thankful for the help and willingness to work with me so I can still enjoy visiting them later in the summer!

Debbie and Sherry are amazing – always with a smile – always helpful- if they don’t have an answer – they will find it for you – they ever make you feel like your questions are never dumb – with all the changes that have been going on – they stay positive and that’s an amazing attitude to have Thank you to both of you for all you do 😊

We love to brag about our summer stays at Fish Lake Beach Camping Resort. It's all about the friendly staff, the amenities and the feeling of a home away from home. We've stayed here in a camper both weekends, weekly and monthly. Now we own a park model here. My parents stayed here and my son did too. There's so many great reasons to keep coming back. We hope our recommendation helps you decide to visit see for yourself!

Debby at the front desk is wonderful. Helped us with all our questions and we have a park model here and love it. We love this place. He won’t go wrong trying of course not everybody sees like we do would recommend this place highway.
