Fish Lake Beach Camping Resort near McHenry, IL

Fish Lake Beach is a family-owned RV resort and campground just a short drive from McHenry, IL, tucked along the shores of Fish Lake in Volo off US Route 12 in Lake County.

We have four ways to stay: full hookup RV sites, long term RV sites, cozy cabin rentals, and lakefront tent sites. Book a site for the weekend or settle in for the whole season.

Once you're here, the lake does most of the talking. Rent a kayak, canoe, or pedal boat and get out on the water, or spend the afternoon on the sandy beach with the kids. The heated pool and hot tub are popular all season, and the pickleball court, basketball courts, softball field, and gaga pit give you plenty to do on land. The Pavilion keeps things lively most evenings with live music, karaoke, bingo, and community events throughout the summer.

Fish Lake Beach is open May 1 through October 15. McHenry is just a short drive away for dining, shopping, and everyday needs, and US Route 12 makes getting here from most of the region simple.

Nearly 600 seasonal families make Fish Lake Beach their summer home every year. We'd love to have you this season.

I have not yet camped here but i am jumping on to thank Fish Lake Beach! I was supposed to camp this weekend but due to the air quality and my medical condition I needed to switch my weekend. It was short notice and they were completely accommodating. Very thankful for the help and willingness to work with me so I can still enjoy visiting them later in the summer!

We love to brag about our summer stays at Fish Lake Beach Camping Resort. It's all about the friendly staff, the amenities and the feeling of a home away from home. We've stayed here in a camper both weekends, weekly and monthly. Now we own a park model here. My parents stayed here and my son did too. There's so many great reasons to keep coming back. We hope our recommendation helps you decide to visit see for yourself!

Debby at the front desk is wonderful. Helped us with all our questions and we have a park model here and love it. We love this place. He won’t go wrong trying of course not everybody sees like we do would recommend this place highway.
